Singapore Polytechnic Grading System
All five Singapore polytechnics use a 4.0-point GPA scale. Your cumulative GPA is the credit-weighted average of every module you have completed across all semesters. Unlike universities, polytechnics do not award honours classifications. Your GPA is the single most important academic metric for university admissions and scholarship applications.
The core grades carry the same points at SP, NP, TP, NYP and RP: A earns 4.0 points, B+ earns 3.5, B earns 3.0, C+ earns 2.5, C earns 2.0, D+ earns 1.5, D earns 1.0, and F earns 0. Each polytechnic adds a few grades of its own, such as SP's D- (0.5) and TP's P (1.0), so choose your school below for its exact table.
