About the Taylor's GPA System
Taylor's University publishes its grading on its Exam and Results page. American Degree Transfer Program (ADP) students have a separate US-style scale (A 4.00 at 90-96, down to D- 0.70 at 55-59), and MBBS grades are published without grade points.
Why GPA Matters at Taylor's
Bachelor's classes (WCGPA from January 2021 intakes, CGPA from March 2014 intakes) are First Class Honours from 3.67, Second Class Upper from 3.00, Second Class Lower from 2.67 and Third Class from 2.00. Diplomas are High Distinction from 3.67, Distinction 3.33, Merit 2.67 and Pass 2.00. The Dean's List needs a semester GPA or weighted GPA of 3.50 on at least 14 credits or 4 modules, with no grade C or below and no barred or repeated module.

Taylor's Grading Note
Taylor's University's diploma and degree scale runs from A (80-100, 4.00) to C (50-54, 2.00), the lowest pass. D+ (1.67), D (1.33) and D- (1.00) are marginal fails that still carry grade points, and F (0-39) is 0.00.
Taylor's Accuracy Scope
This calculator gives the plain CGPA. For bachelor's intakes from January 2021, degree classes use the WCGPA, which also weights each module by its year level (20:30:50 for 3-year degrees, 10:20:30:40 for 4-year); WCGPA does not apply to MBBS, Architecture, Interior Architecture or Quantity Surveying. If you take more credits than you need to graduate, Taylor's counts the best modules. Credit-transferred grades and P modules are left out, and from 2020 intakes MPU U1 to U4 count, except BKA.
GPA Tips for Taylor's Students
- To estimate your WCGPA, weight each module by credits × year level (20% for Year 1, 30% for Year 2 and 50% for Year 3 in a 3-year degree).
- A grade of C or below keeps you off the Dean's List that semester, even with a 3.50 GPA.
- A failed module must be repeated at the earliest offering, and failing three attempts leads to exclusion.
Common GPA Mistakes at Taylor's
Treating a D as a pass. At Taylor's, D+, D and D- (40-49) are marginal fails; C (50) is the lowest pass.
